With Hurricane Isaias, Mother Nature pulled rank and our meeting was postponed. But as we said then: a few good mensches never abandon their post — they just reschedule it.
Well, it's been rescheduled. Mission accomplished.

The agenda hasn't changed: club leadership, upcoming elections, officer roles, and future events including the golf tournament. The club is strong, but strong clubs don't run themselves. At some point, a few good mensches have to step forward — preferably before the calamari arrives.
No military experience required. No dress uniform. No Jack Nicholson courtroom intensity (though it won't be discouraged).
Come have dinner, share your ideas, hear what's ahead, and consider whether there's a role for you in the next chapter.

The Sisterhood & Mensch Club Escape Room Adventure
Wednesday, November 4th at 6:00 PM — 90 minutes, one locked room, and your dignity on the line.
Think you're the clever one in your family? Prove it. Sea Shul's Sisterhood and Mensch Club are going head-to-head in an escape room battle where the only thing sharper than the clues will be the bragging rights.
Team up, solve puzzles, and beat the clock — or spend 90 minutes arguing about whether the key is obviously behind the painting. (It's never behind the painting. Except when it is.)
The details:
- When: Wednesday, November 4, 2026, 6:00–7:30 PM
- Cost: $15 per person deposit online, $15 at the door — a bargain for 90 minutes of light psychological warfare
- Spots: Limited to 24 people across two rooms, so register early or risk watching from the hallway
- Deadline: Register at least 2 days before the event
- Afterward: Optional dinner, where the winning team will be insufferable and the losing team will demand a rematch

Cigars & Whiskey Night
What happens when you put a room full of Jewish men together with fine whiskey, premium cigars, and absolutely no one telling them to stop talking? The 30A Mensch Club Cigars & Whiskey Night!
Join us on Sunday, November 22nd at 4:00 PM for an afternoon of great company, questionable wisdom, and enough unsolicited advice to solve problems nobody knew they had. Expect spirited debates about everything from the stock market to the proper way to light a cigar, with at least three guys insisting they know someone who can get it cheaper.
Here's how it works:
Cigars: Bring two cigars — one to enjoy and one for our cigar exchange. Think of it as a Hanukkah gift exchange, except nobody gets socks, and everyone goes home smelling like their grandfather's poker game.
Whiskey: Bring your favorite bourbon, rye, Scotch, or whiskey to share. Prefer cocktails? Bring a pitcher of your favorite concoction. Everyone will suddenly become a whiskey connoisseur, confidently detecting notes of oak, vanilla, and whatever else they heard someone say on YouTube.
Food: Of course there will be food! We're Jewish. Did you really think we'd organize an event where people might go hungry?
Location: Revealed after you RSVP. We're not exactly a secret society, but we do enjoy making things sound more exclusive than they are.
Whether you smoke, drink, both, or neither, come for the friendship, the laughter, and the opportunity to sit around with a bunch of Mensches who have collectively accumulated hundreds of years of wisdom — and still can't agree on anything.
Some call it a bad habit. We call it good research.
